All Veterinary Care Performed at College Boulevard Animal Hospital (913-469-5869).
Food: Hill's Science Diet Feline Maintenance Senior (the other cats in the household are senior citizens). Racqui will
come with a bag of her food. Feeding high quality
cat food like Science Diet makes the cat healthier and keeps the "output" less frequent and less smelly. Obviously,
Racqui should always have access to clean water.
Litter: Tidy Cat Scoopable (which is scooped DAILY)
She will come with all of her "supplies," like her cat pan,
carrier, food and water bowls, toys, etc.)
Racqui (short for "Racquel") is a blue cream (blue/grey with cream markings) female. She is absolutely
gorgeous (and absolutely knows it!). As a kitten, Racqui (as well as her mama and siblings) was
left at a local veterinary clinic. Because she is so striking and had such a tough start to life, we named her
Racqui (a feminine version of Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky" with a bit of Raquel Welch mixed in).
She simply
adores
attention and is very affectionate! In fact, she will pout if she doesn't think she is getting enough love!
She loves sitting on laps and kneading her paws (what we call
"making biscuits"). Racqui really enjoys batting defenseless pens and pencils onto the floor and
playing "bed mice" (if you move a hand or foot around under a sheet or blanket, she will pounce and smack it!).
When she gets bored and thinks no one is paying enough attention to her, she has been known to play with the roll of toilet paper
hanging in the bathroom–unrolling and re-rolling it. We also have to be careful to keep rubber bands and hair bands, clips, etc.
away from her, as she really has a fatal attraction to those
(fatal because if she actually swallowed them, she could be in serious medical trouble!).
Though she is 4 years old, she is still very playful.
Racqui has a very sensitive nose, so she insists that her surroundings and litter pan be kept clean (we scoop once daily)!
Her litter pan(s) should be kept in a quiet, secure place that she always has access to.
She is very fastidious and keeps her fur in really great shape; we only comb her every other week or so.
Racqui is a bit skittish around small children and dogs, though she is fine if she is treated respectfully and
not chased! She is a bit of a dominant personality, so she would do well with confident cats but would most love
being in a single-cat household.
Racqui has never been
outdoors
and is fully declawed, so she MUST remain indoors at all times. Racqui has never shown any interest in going
outside (in fact, whenever we have carried her outside for a few minutes, she is TERRIFIED), but she does really
enjoy people- and bird-watching through a window screen!

musical stylings of Racqui. She is very quiet--unless held against her will!
