Daisy is the family's new addition. She is a purebred Wire (or Wire-Haired) Fox Terrier.
She's playful, she's spunky, and she has us all wrapped around her little paw! She loves
sitting
on laps, and even lays her fuzzy little head on your ankles and falls asleep if you sit
down long
enough. So far,
her favorite pastime is chewing on toes (or any other available object--notice the paint she has
chewed off of the picnic table legs in the last picture!).
Nibbling on anything
resembling flesh, which was once
deemed cute, has now become cause to place Miss Daisy in "Timeout"--a concept she certainly
doesn't appreciate. She has chewed through television cables and screen doors! An expensive pup--if you don't entertain her, she
WILL entertain herself!
But she does seem to be nibbling less lately, which has earned her time out
from "Timeout" for good behavior. The third picture was taken July 27, 2001, on the occasion of
Daisy Mae's first haircut (at three and a half months of age). The first two were taken the day of her arrival (at two months old). The 4th
one was shot November 15, 2001. The last one is a picture taken just a few days after her first birthday (April 17, 2001). Looks how she's grown!
She is settling down now, but still likes to jump and gnaw, so Mom and Dad make sure they have PLENTY of chew toys around!
Keeping her busy is key! She really keeps Mom and Dad on their toes, but they wouldn't trade her for the world! Such a sweet
little wild thing!
