Mark and I stayed at the Golden Gate Hotel (a bed and breakfast on Bush Street) while we were in San Francisco.

Captain Nemo, feline proprietor of the Golden Gate Hotel, checks in hotel guests (note the glowing eyes attached to a rather substantial black body in the picture of the reception desk below). That evening, he mewed insistently at our door (EVERY night of our stay--he had to make sure the accomodations were to his/our liking). We had to let him in--it IS his hotel. You can see him in one of our room's chairs. Checking for lumps, I am sure.

We visited Chinatown that first afternoon. These are pictures of the Chinatown Gate.
