CHAUNCEY (pronounced CHAHN-see)
Date of Birth (Approximate)-August 24, 1996
Adopted by Us-August 24, 2001
Adopted Out-October 13, 2001
(A.K.A. CHAUNCE, CHANCE, CHANCEY, MR. MAN, THE MELLOW FELLOW, SIR CHAUNCELOT)

Chauncey is an approximately 5-year-old (as of October 2001) neutered blue belton (white with blue-black markings)
English Setter. Chaunce is a very sweet,
loving dog. A friend adopted Chauncey when he wouldn't leave our poor cats alone!
Chauncey is a "Show" (or "Bench," or "Companion") English Setter, meaning that he has a thicker, more luxuriant coat,
a gorgeous "tapered/feathered" tail, and is bigger than "Field" English Setters like Ladybug (also referred to as "Llewellyn," or
"Hunting," Setters), which were bred more for hunting than for companionship and looks.

fella. He is a big teddybear of a dog!

Chauncey's foster mom, at abeshoner@kc.rr.com or visit the
Critter Connections for the Kansas City Area site (a GREAT site with pictures and descriptions from several Kansas City-
area shelters).
